Working on Exercise 1, p.181 of the TH-448 book, for the first time, for a brand new cube developed in 2008, it works fine. Later on, using the Cube Designer to edit the cube's structure in Exercise 2 with R2, I got 3 errors in deployment.
You cannot build a cube in BIDS 2008 and deploy it on SSAS 2008 R2.
Solutions:
Option 1 - Edit the cube with SQL Server 2008 and re-deploy it.
Option 2 - Delete the previous deployed database from SSMS (i.e., TK 70-448 SSAS Project) in R2, then re-deploy it, it works!
